Vigil/Demonstration outside Chinese and Sudanese Embassies

At 9 a.m., on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, Catholic Workers will
vigil outside the Chinese Embassy at 2201 Wisconsin Ave, NW in
Washington, DC wearing t-shirts and holding signs urging China to stop
supporting genocide in Darfur. The signs include photographs taken by
the Catholic Workers in Darfur. The shirts say, "China's Support of
Sudan is an Olympic Mistake" on the front and "STOP GENOCIDE IN
DARFUR" on the back. At about 10 a.m. the group will march solemnly to
the Sudanese Embassy at 2210 Massachusetts Ave, NW (a walk of about
1.5 miles) for a vigil until noon.
