Appropriations: Funding for Peacekeepers

The United States has fulfilled its obligations to the United Nations (UN) for peacekeeping in 2008.

Although the funding push was successful this year, we must continue to work to ensure full funding.

Without adequate money in the international affairs (150) account of the budget, the United States cannot effectively prevent genocide, promote peace, and ensure civilian protection.
